Meet Our Foundation Team

A caring community united to honor April’s legacy.

The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 in memory of April Tayler Bocian, a compassionate young woman whose life was lost to suicide shortly after her seventeenth birthday. Her family’s loss became a call to help others by raising awareness of depression, mental illness, and suicide prevention. Today, the foundation carries that purpose forward through community engagement, fundraising, wellness partnerships, and connections to trusted resources. From Grove City to the greater Pittsburgh region, we believe open conversation and shared action can reduce isolation and foster hope. By honoring April’s warmth, empathy, and love for others, the foundation invites families, youth, volunteers, donors, and local businesses to help build a more informed and supportive community.
