Honoring April’s legacy through compassionate community action.
Established in 2015, the April T. Bocian Foundation honors the memory of April Tayler Bocian, whose warmth, empathy, and love of life remain central to its purpose. Following April’s death by suicide at age 17, her family and community transformed profound loss into a commitment to mental health awareness, depression education, and suicide prevention advocacy. Today, the foundation brings people together through its annual golf outing, volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and EmpowHer Retreat. Rooted in Grove City and connected to the greater Pittsburgh area, the foundation strives to make compassionate conversations and helpful resources more visible. Its vision is simple and enduring: unite communities to create real change and honor April’s legacy with hope.
