A community-driven foundation honoring April through compassionate action.
Established in 2015, the April T. Bocian Foundation was created in memory of April Tayler Bocian, a compassionate young woman whose life was lost to suicide shortly after her seventeenth birthday. Her family and community transformed profound loss into a commitment to raise awareness about depression, mental illness, and suicide prevention. Today, the foundation brings people together through its annual golf outing, volunteer involvement, sponsorship opportunities, and partnerships with organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and EmpowHer Retreat. With roots in Grove City and connections across the greater Pittsburgh region, the foundation works to make compassionate conversation, practical resources, and community support more visible for individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.
