The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 to honor the life of April Tayler Bocian and turn a family’s loss into meaningful action. Born at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, April was remembered for her warmth, empathy, and care for others. Following her death by suicide, the foundation committed itself to raising awareness of mental health, depression, and suicide prevention. Today, the organization brings together families, volunteers, golfers, sponsors, and community partners through its annual golf outing and other outreach efforts. Rooted in the greater Pittsburgh and Grove City communities, the foundation works to make conversations about mental health more compassionate, informed, and accessible while honoring April’s lasting legacy.
