A compassionate nonprofit turning remembrance into meaningful community action.
The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 to honor the memory of April Tayler Bocian, whose life, warmth, empathy, and love for others continue to inspire this work. Following April’s death by suicide, her family and community created a foundation dedicated to raising awareness about mental health, depression, and suicide prevention. What began as a deeply personal memorial has grown into an active nonprofit that brings people together through the annual Golf Outing, volunteer involvement, national partnerships, and wellness-focused initiatives. The foundation’s vision is rooted in compassion: helping communities speak more openly about mental health, recognize when support is needed, and turn shared care into meaningful action. Each sponsor helps carry April’s legacy forward.
