Meet Our Foundation Team

Compassionate advocates carrying April’s legacy forward together.

The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 to honor the life and memory of April Tayler Bocian, whose compassion, warmth, and care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. After April’s death by suicide, her family and community turned profound loss into a commitment to help others speak openly about depression, mental illness, and suicide prevention. Today, the foundation brings together volunteers, donors, families, and community partners through awareness efforts, fundraising events, and connections to supportive resources. With roots in western Pennsylvania and a continuing presence in the Grove City and greater Pittsburgh communities, the foundation seeks to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggle. Its vision is simple and enduring: bring people together to create meaningful change.
