The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 in memory of April Tayler Bocian, whose warmth, empathy, and love for others left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. After April died by suicide at age 17, her family and community created the foundation to turn profound loss into purposeful action. Today, the organization raises awareness of depression, mental illness, and suicide prevention through resources, partnerships, wellness initiatives, and community fundraising. Rooted in Grove City and connected to the greater Pittsburgh region, the foundation believes that open conversation and collective care can save lives. Every event, volunteer effort, and shared resource honors April’s memory while helping individuals and families feel less alone.
