Meet the Foundation Team

People united by compassion, remembrance, and meaningful community action.

The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 to honor the memory of April Tayler Bocian and turn a family’s profound loss into purposeful advocacy. April was remembered for her warm smile, empathy, and care for others, even as she faced private struggles with depression and mental illness. Her story continues to inspire the foundation’s work in mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and compassionate community support. Based in Grove City and connected to the greater Pittsburgh community, the foundation brings together families, volunteers, donors, and partners who believe no one should face mental health challenges alone. Through education, resource sharing, wellness initiatives, and fundraising events, the foundation works to create conversation, reduce stigma, and encourage hope.
