Meet Our Foundation Team

Compassionate advocates carrying April’s legacy forward together.

The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 in memory of April Tayler Bocian, a compassionate young woman whose life was cut short by suicide one week after her seventeenth birthday. Her family and supporters transformed profound loss into a commitment to mental health awareness, depression education, and suicide prevention. Based in Grove City, the foundation brings together people who believe open conversation and caring action can make a difference. Through its annual Golf Outing, volunteer opportunities, partnerships with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and EmpowHer Retreat, and access to crisis resources, the foundation creates meaningful avenues for involvement. Serving Grove City, the greater Pittsburgh area, and communities across Pennsylvania, it honors April’s legacy by helping others feel seen, supported, and connected.
