Meet the Foundation Team

Compassionate advocates carrying April’s legacy forward together.

The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 to honor April Tayler Bocian’s memory and turn profound loss into meaningful action. April was known for her warmth, empathy, and love of basketball, yet she struggled privately with depression and mental illness. Her family and supporters created this foundation so that her story could encourage open conversations about mental health, depression, and suicide prevention. Today, the foundation brings together volunteers, donors, families, and community partners through awareness efforts, its annual Golf Outing, and connections to trusted resources. Rooted in the Grove City community and connected to the greater Pittsburgh region, the foundation believes lasting change begins when people show up for one another with compassion, understanding, and hope.
