Meet Our Foundation Team

Compassionate advocates carrying April’s legacy forward together.

Established in 2015, the April T. Bocian Foundation was created in memory of April Tayler Bocian, whose warmth, empathy, and caring spirit continue to inspire this work. After April’s death by suicide, her family and community chose to turn profound loss into purposeful advocacy for mental health awareness, depression education, and suicide prevention. Based in Grove City, the foundation brings people together through resource sharing, volunteer involvement, the annual Golf Outing, and partnerships that broaden access to support. Its connection to the greater Pittsburgh area reflects the community that shaped April’s life and legacy. Today, the foundation remains committed to compassionate conversations, meaningful action, and helping individuals and families know they are not alone.
