The April T. Bocian Foundation was established in 2015 to honor the life and memory of April Tayler Bocian, whose warmth, empathy, and quiet struggle with depression continue to inspire the organization’s purpose. Born in Pittsburgh and remembered by family, friends, and teammates, April’s story is the heart of a mission centered on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. From Grove City, the foundation brings community members together through education, fundraising, wellness partnerships, and opportunities to serve. Its annual Golf Outing and relationship with organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention help transform remembrance into action. The foundation envisions communities where people feel supported, informed, and empowered to seek help, offer compassion, and create meaningful change.
Community members can express interest in volunteering by contacting the April T. Bocian Foundation directly.
